Dr. Sandy Newmark will present this 1½ hour talk/discussion for parents and other caregivers on the integrative treatment of ADHD

  • What constitutes an adequate evaluation?
  • Nutrition, diet, and food sensitivities in children with ADHD.
  • The scientific use of vitamins and supplements.
  • Behavioral approaches to help the ADHD child.
  • The role of alternative modalities such as Homeopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • When to use medication and how to use it most effectively.
Dr. Sandy Newmark practiced as a general pediatrician in Tucson for 14 years, with a special interest in behavioral problems such as ADHD and Autism. He then completed a 2-year residential fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Weil. For the last 5 years, he has been the Director of the Center for Pediatric Integrative Medicine, a consulting practice for children with a wide variety of medical issues, and is also is a faculty member of the Program in Integrative Medicine. He writes and lectures frequently on Autism and ADHD, and has authored 3 chapters in academic Integrative Medicine textbooks. Recently, Dr. Newmark joined Whole Child Wellness as a primary care and consultative pediatrician.
