Join Dr. Callum Eastwood for a presentation on parental anxiety, stress, burnout, and approaches to intervention and self-care.
In our busy, stressful lives, we often forget to insure we, as parents, care for ourselves in our efforts to meet the needs of our families. This experience can be especially true for parents of children with special needs and/or chronic health concerns. Parents can end up chronically anxious and burned out. Dr. Eastwood will review the phenomena of parental anxiety and burnout, and discuss the potential impacts on both parents and children. He will also provide an overview of self-care and psychological approaches parents can consider to address anxiety and stress in their lives.
